Core Team Member
Carlos Cortez has over 10 years of Leadership, Marketing, IT, HR and Business Development experience in the retail industry. He forged innovative partnerships with key health organizations and has participated with leading U.S. media sources. Mr. Cortez began his career at Cemex in the Corporate Treasury department. At Clareo, he focuses on helping Fortune 500 clients develop innovative growth strategies and new venture initiatives. On the entrepreneurial side, he has helped create business plans for retail and social innovation enterprises and also serves on the advisory boards of two start-ups.
He is on the Board of Directors at The Resurrection Project, a leading Chicago non-profit. He serves as a mentor at Endeavor Global in Mexico. Mr. Cortez holds a BA from Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey and an MBA from The Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
